Confidence is Sexy

Confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can wear. You may have heard this before and it's TRUE.

While a little nervousness is common in uncommon or unfamiliar situations when it comes time to be up close and personal with your audience you want to feel good and happy with your choices, whether it's the hairstyle you chose, the outfit you're wearing or the shape you're in. And while no one is perfect, you'll be a little more attractive to other when you radiate joy. 

I have heard it said that happiness is something you remember. That may be true but you can live in the moment and have fun no matter what circumstances you find yourself in. True beauty, like happiness, comes from within. Perhaps you have witnessed the following in your own life. There is a girl, a coworker, a friend perhaps, that isn't the most traditional beauty you've ever seen and yet others are drawn to her. When you are having fun and genuine in your approach, others will pick up on your energy. They will be drawn to your presence even if they aren't sure exactly why. Outside events and environment can only impact you as much as you let it. Shine from within and the wrong song, the unexpected arrival of someone you did not expect to see, or a turn on an alternate stage will become opportunities not challenges.

I like to say "Whatever stage you're on IS the main stage." When you have that inner light it shines, it attracts, it radiates an energy that draws your audience in. And even if your audience is 2 people, they will be the most appreciative 2 people of your night. Always be entertaining and make mistakes a part of your show. So many things have the potential to bring us down. Resist the negativity and have fun with your life and especially your show. Your audience will thank you for it.
