Safety First: Protecting Yourself Physically, Legally, and Financially

Setting Boundaries with Customers

Establish clear limits on what you’re comfortable with. If a customer makes you uncomfortable, walk away. Trust your instincts. No amount of money is worth your safety or self esteem.

Privacy and Online Safety

Keep your real name and personal information private. Be cautious about sharing details with customers, and consider using separate social media accounts for work. Fan pages are a great way to connect with your audience. Remember to keep you friends list private on your personal pages and when connecting with other people from the club, do so using only your fan page.

Understanding Your Rights

Every club has different rules, but you should always know what’s legally required of you. If a manager or customer pressures you into anything you’re uncomfortable with, stand your ground.
