Red carpet ready

It's that time of year again...

It's awards season and, nominated or not, when you step onto the red carpet everyone should see a Winner! Choosing the perfect gown, the right suit, that unmistakable look that says " I have arrived” is just what you want to create in advance of your big night. This is a time to go all out.

Go big or stay home.

This is not the time for understated elegance. You want your audience to gasp, to stop in their tracks, to turn around and take notice. When choosing an evening gown, try on everything, twice. Then allow time for alterations so that you can have the best curve appeal.

Shoes are next.

Select a heel that will extend the line of you leg. Add accessories that sparkle. If wearing your hair up a pair of chandelier earrings can accentuate the neck and depending on the neckline of your gown you may opt for either a choker or a more extended piece to draw the eye downward. Don't neglect your choice of evening bag. Small, yet bejeweled clutch bags make a wonderful accent piece, especially when wearing all black.

You can choose to continue to add jewels to your hairstyle if you wish. There are a variety of combs, pins and clips which can add interest and sparkle to you overall appearance.

Don't be afraid to try something bold.

There are so many different colors and styles available for formal looks that you will be able to find a unique gown and with so many styling options available, even a little black dress doesn't have to be basic.
